Jerry Falwell, Ding Dong Hurrah

Today is a tough day to be an atheist. If I believed in God I could rejoice in knowing that he'd be giving Jerry Falwell a good sock in the gut right now, maybe a pile driver or two. Instead I shall just be glad that a man who had nothing positive to add to the planet is no longer on it. Bye, bye Jerry, you will not be missed.

Yay!
At first I thought your words were kinda harsh. Then I looked up his name on Google... you were right.

Hey Keith,

Saying something about how Falwell "will not bi missed.' is rather cruel. Although I agree with the overall sentiment of you post, I think you should remember old mother, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

If I followed that rule it'd be awful quiet around here.

Maybe Keith wouldn't feel that way about Falwell if he had lived by that the same rule.
here are a few "nice" things he has said over the years

“AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals”

“Billy Graham is the chief servant of Satan in America”

“If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being”

“[homosexuals are] brute beasts...part of a vile and satanic system [that] will be utterly annihilated, and there will be a celebration in heaven.”

I have to admit smiling when I read that he had died. I won't miss him and I won't miss those who followed him either.
