For my CD cover, we started with a great photo by Kiny Mccarrick and then Irina Beffa went to work on it using the old Blue Note album covers for inspiration.
We still need to add the label's logo and the UPC and such, but I think these look great. Which do YOU like better? Let me know in the comments. Click each image to see larger version.
This first design we'll call PINK for it's pink lettering, not for how very gay I look in the photo, otherwise they'd both be called pink.
And this design we'll call BLUE not for the fact that it's that color but for the fact that I feel so blue inside as I have never truly felt loved. :D

I like the type and the spacing in the pink one more, but i like the color scheme in the blue one. Blue wins.
I'd say pink. Pink is my favorite color. Also, I want this CD! lol
I prefer the blue.
Something about the cropping of your face in the Pink version feels off to me, and with 'Moon' so big, it makes me think 'Keith Moon'.
Pine
The blue design works better. The pink one give the word "Moon" too much prominence; your name and the rest of the title get overwhelmed. The blue one gives more equal weighting to the key elements. Adjust the color scheme as you wish, but the title and your name should be more evenly weighted.
I like the lay out of the pink one better but I much prefer color scheme of the blue one
but they both look fucking amazing
I like the layout of the pink one much better, but I think you should change the color of the word "moon" to blue.
I don't like the second (blue) design. I think it's too busy.
love the 1st/pink one... the blue one just fades away.... into nothingness. not the keith i know and love.
maybe use the photo cropping from the blue one on the 1st/pink one, tho... i do like the position/crop better on 2nd one, i think. i'd have to see it on there, tho.
Blue
Pink. I like the photo cropping and placement better.
I like the blue background better than the gray. Can take or leave the fonts on both of them.
Blue, hands down.
So I think the pink one is edgier. The blue one reminds me of some CD I have of older music, can't remember the name....So consider this, do you want something that comfortable/familiar for the masses or do you want something that has more of an edge to it and possible attract the hipster comedy consumer, just on the cover art alone. Do you want to sell it at Target or The Beat? xoe
I like the layout of the pink version better for the content of the cd. the blue one is great, but it screams 'crooner'.. the other design is more open to interpretation and works better for a comedy recording.
my .2
Blue. I agree with the comments that it makes it look like Moon is your name. Otherwise, they are both awesome designs.
I meant to say the Pink one puts too much on moon. A noun would have been helpful. :)
Layout on pink is way better, but color is better blue.
and that is indeed a Professional opinion.
I like the pink one better, but I'm not crazy about the typeface on either.
I like the green one better! :)
I think the Pink one is best but the word MOON is too big.
Those are great! I slightly prefer the pink one because of the way it crops your face.
The less face, the better!
The pink one catches the eye but has issues. The blue is much more subtle and better balanced, though perhaps a tiny bit bland.
Even so, I'd go with the blue one. I prefer the picture and design.
I changed my mind. Go with the pink.
